Zodwa Wabantu Granted Zim Panty Immunity: Kaseke Pulls Panty Decree Down

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority boss Karikoga Kaseke has been forced to pull down the underpants decree in his stale-mate with provocateur Zodwa Wabantu after he had earlier on said the socialite could only appear at the Harare Carnival if she wore underpants.

Kaseke, who is usually an open-minded person, may have been trying to negotiate an underwear deal with Zodwa Wabantu to cool down the ‘moralistic hawks’ who had suggested that Zodwa, famed for going without panties, could not come to Zimbabwe and participate at the carnival this week without them.

But the megaphone negotiation failed dismally when Zodwa shouted from across the Limpopo that she would NOT walk into Victoria’s Secret just to please her Zimbabwean hosts and Kaseke decided to pull down the underwear from Zodwa’s ‘to wear’ list.

Now the South Africans have been granted  underwear immunity by the Zimbabweans and all love is restored!

With knickers in a twist, the much loved quirky Kaseke has now declared a truce with Zodwa and the show will go on, with Zodwa also making her biggest explosion at Private Lounge in Harare this Friday after her Samba Night ruckus that she will no doubt cause.

“We will be happy to have Zodwa yet again especially after Private Lounge was closed and is now set to open and coincide with the much awaited carnival,” said a senior representative of Private Lounge and Holly’s Hotel, who are partnering with Kaseke and the carnival.

Devine and ZTA have been great chums and have seen growth in the tourism sector through entertainment and this year is no different.

Add to that, Wednesday is set to be electric as the carnival makes a welcome return to the street space in front of Holly’s Hotel and Private Lounge. Also, the new Private Lounge will be accessible free of charge for Carnival ticket holders and so will Holly’s Hotel for all those who arrive before 8 pm.

“We know a package like that will allow people to also see Bev in action as well as a wide array of performers whom we will have on Wednesday with no hassle of having to pay to get into the different venues,” said the rep.

Meanwhile, it will then be all roads leading to Private Lounge when Zodwa caps the exciting weekday programme at Private Lounge this coming Friday and light up the stage with her signature style.
