Polaris was founded in 2009 as a private blog of Zimbabwean journalist Robert Mukondiwa and has evolved to becoming a collective of news and opinion which seeks to meet the challenge of a new time.

It has become a platform of thinkers to express themselves in the spirit of free speech. We are a news, arts, culture, and lifestyle portal that champions youthful progressive ideas and challenges popular opinion as well as offer basic training to an emerging thinker-oriented generation.

Polaris promotes novel innovative thought leadership and solutions for today’s most critical issues. In the face of intractable problems; our journalism debates complex issues, and takes a stance. We are inspired by change and respect for individual civil rights without regard to colour creed or personal persuasions.
