Jonathan Kadzura dies

Prominent businessman and politician Jonathan Kadzura has died.

Kadzura passed on over the weekend and was due to be interred at Glen Forest cemetery on Monday midday.

A former chairman of the national airline, Air Zimbabwe, Kadzura was known for his relentless efforts to get the airline back on its feet, exposing haemorrhaging of resources by authorities running the airline as well as calm demeanour and warm heart on the other hand.

Kadzura, who had been unwell for a while, had scaled down his activities, including his job at the helm of his Mutare based Mount View Hotel, whose running he had since ceded to his entrepreneur son Gregory in recent times.

“He was a warm person. A kind man and a symbol of generosity and love. He will be sorely missed,” said a close friend of the maverick.
